The UNLV Rebels took care of business on Saturday night by destroying the Idaho State Bengals 54-10. It was an all around great time at the ball game for Rebel fans. Rocky Hinds looked very solid in him debut. He’s only going to get better. The only “dead” quarter in this game was the 3rd. Both sides put up bagels. The game was tied after the first quarter—3-3—and fans were getting anxious for the Rebels to break out. They did in the 2nd quarter.

The UNLV Rebels have their home opener against Idaho State tomorrow at 7pm. There’s a lot of excitement in the air. The past two seasons for the Rebels have been anything but exciting. It’s hard to get excited when the team wins only two games all season long. The Rebels record for the past two seasons has been an identical 2-9 each time. While no one is expecting the UNLV Rebels to win the division, there’s optimism that this year’s team could reach .500 for the first time in awhile.
