AP Top 25 Week ThreeLast week’s games helped to clear up the Top 25. Ohio State sent a message to the college football world by making then #2 Texas look foolish. Their domination of Texas solidified their ownership of the #1 spot. Notre Dame looked much better last week and was rewarded by getting their old #2 spot back. They buried Penn State and got back on the path towards the championship game. I would like someone to explain to me why Florida State is in the top 10 at number 9 again this week. I could have sworn that their disgusting appearance against Troy would have knocked them down. Certainly Georgia, Michigan and Louisville have looked more impressive. It’s just further proof that voters are not watching the actual games. Texas falls to #8 after failing to show up for their own home game against Ohio State. The 7 points they scored was really a gift. I think this team should be in the lower tier of the Top 25. They have proven nothing—except that they can win against bottom feeding college teams and not even show up against their upper echelon of teams. I would rank Boston College (#23) ahead of them. They are 2-0 and beat Clemson—who missed the top 25 by three votes. Heck, I would even rank Florida State higher. They are also 2-0, and they beat a top 25 team (Miami). Here’s the AP Top 25 for this week 1. Ohio State Leave a Reply |
